Eveline, why do you recommend a professional make-up before an important event - or a business photo shoot?
The person feels more comfortable! In a corporate shoot, people are often called away from a desk full of work and many feel unprepared when they step in front of the camera. But if they can have their make-up done before the shoot, it’s like a spa experience for them and they can feel prepared for the shoot. They don’t have to worry about how their skin or hair looks, but they can feel 100% confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
You opened your beauty salon at the beginning of the year. What has been the most important thing you've learnt since then?
It’s better to wait for premises that truly meet my needs than to just pick something cheap to start with. Now, I would rather invest more in something that will work in the long term. I’m also in the process of finding my balance between idle times and times when I’m completely overworked. I don’t have a nine-to-five job and I want to make good use of my time and organize it well so that I have a reasonably even workload.
