2 questions for Richard Schubert, who helps his clients to make their money work for them
What are the typical financial issues that you encounter with entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurs are often very good at what they do, i.e. what they offer, but poor at financial planning. The big question is: what do I do with the money I earn? For many, half of a €100,000 income often goes to the taxman. One consideration would be, for example, what benefits I can offer my employees that I can then deduct from tax as the boss – simply offering a company pension scheme no longer works if you want to attract employees. The next question is: what happens to my capital? What do I do with it? Due to a lack of experience and knowledge, this money often ends up in a bank account, where you can earn an interest rate of just around 3%. But there are much better alternatives. I work out the right strategy.
Why do you like dealing with finances so much?
At a young age, when I was about twelve years old, I was already interested in the stock market. It fascinates me to see how money can work. When you find out how your money can work for you, and how you can use your capital as a tool, you can work without pressure. That’s how I like to work and I want to show the way to others who wish to do the same.
